FAQs
Question 1.) How much do your hearing aids cost?
Answer: It depends upon several factors. The first step in the process
is to set up an appointment with our office for a complimentary hearing
evaluation. Based upon what we find during this test we'll decide what
hearing aid size and hearing aid sound processing technology, analog
or digital, is the most appropriate for your hearing loss pattern.
Question 2.) Does Medicare insurance pay for hearing aids?
Answer: Medicare does not cover hearing aids. Some insurance
plans will assist with the cost of hearing aids. Call your insurance
company to see if hearing instruments is a covered benefit. Most insurance
companies will not cover Advanced Technology, programmable Analog or
Digital hearing instruments.
Question 3.) Do I have to pay for the hearing aids all at once?
Answer: At Hear’s the Answer, we do what we can to make
it easy for you. We realize that not everyone wants to, or can, write
a check for the entire amount. We offer six months no-interest financing
that we carry ourselves. Six or seven smaller payments can be easier
to handle than one bigger one. We will do what we can to help you hear
better.
Question 4.) What if I don’t like the hearing aids?
Answer: This is not a problem at Hear’s the Answer. Most
problems can be solved with either acoustic or program modifications.
Nine out of ten problems we can do something about. But in the unlikely
event that our modifications do not solve your problem, all of our fitting
are on a trial basis. If you do not like the instruments, simply return
them during the generous trial period and receive a refund. We offer this to
ensure your satisfaction and to take the fear and uncertainty out of
improved hearing. We are not satisfied until you are satisfied.
Question 5.) Do I need one or two hearing aids?
Answer: Most people will do better with two hearing aids. We
were created with two ears for a good reason, our ears work together.
Using both ears helps give us our sense of direction in addition to helping
us separate sounds a noisy environment. Some people who have a unilateral
(one side) hearing loss may only be candidates for a single hearing
aid. Our comprehensive testing will determine how you should best be
fit. Our trial period on all fittings guarantee you will like your hearing
instruments, or you can return either one or both of them.
Question 6.) How can I be sure I will get the best help possible?
Answer: Wayne Jacobson has been helping people hear since 1976.

Question 7.) What if I cannot come in for a hearing test?
Answer: That is not a problem at Hear’s the Answer, we
are fully equipped to provide complete service in the comfort of your
own home. Just because you are not as mobile as you used to be, does
not mean you don’t deserve to hear the best possible. If you are
not able to come to us, we will come to you.
Question 8.) What brand of hearing aid is the best?
Answer: There is no one brand of hearing aid that is the best
for everyone. At Hear's the Answer, we work with numerous manufacturers
and pick the product that is best for you. We look at the size of your
ear and the type of loss, from there we will guide you as to the type
of instrument that will best serve your needs. And all of our fittings
are guaranteed.
Question 9.) How small can the hearing aids be made if I don’t
want anyone to know I am wearing them?
Answer: Today’s technology allows even the most sophisticated
circuits to be built in the tiny completely-in-the-canal style instrument.
The actual size and shape of your ear canal is the final limiting factor,
but it is amazing how small and inconspicuous today’s hearing
aid can be.
