PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS 

This is an appointment based program where you will set appointments with a Personal Trainer that will coach you through Specific Training objectives to accomplish your fitness goals. Appointments can be set as early as 5am and as late as 10pm and anytime during the day that works best for your schedule.

This program includes:

Personal Training Sessions by appointment with a highly qualified Personal Trainer to achieve your fitness and performance goals.

If you are a member in the Team Fitness Program we can add 1 or 2 Personal Training Sessions a week at a significant discount.

The answer to your success is consistency. It doesn’t matter what level of fitness you are at currently. We find the best way to maximize your efforts to see results. This is an education process and takes time and hard work. We incorporate many different exercise techniques in designing your workout routine to meet your needs. We have also invested in unique fitness equipment that has significantly enhanced the fitness levels of our students. Body by Bobbie is the only facility in California with this specific type of iso-kinetic equipment. This equipment is so safe that even children can use it and the results are amazing. Nutrition is the other key to opening your doorway to success. We provide a learning environment and personal service with clear results by taking a comprehensive approach.
 
A comprehensive approach to fitness requires attention to the following three areas:
• Proper nutrition
• Cardiovascular conditioning to condition your heart and burn calories
• Resistance training to add lean body mass, strengthen bones, and preserve muscle during weight loss

Evaluating your current fitness level

You will begin your training with us by filling out a comprehensive medical history questionnaire and letting us know your fitness goals.After reviewing your forms, we will design a comprehensive fitness program. We monitor your progress by using performance tests and body composition examinations. This examination consists of a computerized body composition analysis, which will measure your lean and fat body mass, as well as your hydration level. The test will also determine your Basal Metabolic Rate, or BMR. Your BMR tells us how many calories you need, without any additional activity, to maintain your current weight.

Designing your fitness program

Based upon the results of your initial interview, your age, and your current fitness level, we will design a cardiovascular conditioning program for you. Typically, this will call for you to perform some activities such as walking, running, or using cardiovascular equipment three times a week, 30 minutes at a time, within a prescribed heart rate zone.
 
Our comprehensive nutrition packages include nutrition and lifestyle counseling. You will learn to determine the correct ratio of foods you need and the lifestyle changes you may want to make to achieve optimum health.
The third part of your overall fitness program involves balance, stability, and resistance training. We are strong believers in developing and strengthening good posture through the right selection of exercises. Many of our exercises incorporate Swiss balls, medicine balls, and balance boards in addition to the more traditional strength training exercises. Exercises with free weights are important for building balance and stability, and also for applying a load to your skeleton to strengthen your bones. This becomes more critical as you get older, and especially for women, to help prevent the onset of osteoporosis.

Implementing your program

Depending upon the fitness package that fits you best, we will begin training at your current level and build up from there. It is EXTREMELY EXCITING to start seeing results and the desired changes to make your goals a reality! During a training session we will begin with warm-up exercises and move into exercises to improve your balance and stability, and then a weight workout tailored to your fitness level and goals combined with iso-kinetics, isometrics, and plyo-metric exercises for strength. At the end we usually do your abdominal training, followed by a brief cool down period and stretching for flexibility. Throughout your training program, we will monitor your results and measure your progress. We believe in setting short-term, realistic goals that will keep you motivated.
If you play a particular sport, we can incorporate exercises into your program that will help you perform better.
 
If you elect a package that includes nutritional counseling, we will work with you to learn proper nutrition and achieve your goals.
